you know what’s gotta fucking stop? not including jewish people in your social justice. jewish people are not the oppressors, they are the oppressed. anti-semitism did not end with the holocaust, despite what your us-centric lense might tell you. people are being murdered and attacked for being jewish and if you don’t think that’s reason enough to incorporate them into your activism then you’re probably a huge anti-semite.

don’t automatically group diaspora jews with israel…….. just because i am jewish, does not mean i agree with israel’s horrific crime. i don’t condone the israeli government’s disgusting actions

• being antisemitic by implying Jews should have learned that oppression sucks
• being antisemitic by implying that Jews are inherently privileged through their Jewishness
• being antisemitic by implying that Jews are somehow whiter than white, and thus more privileged. (This literally gets Jews killed)

And if your response to being called antisemitic when you are in fact being antisemitic is

• “I can’t be antisemitic because I’m [unrelated minority group]”
• “I don’t care because Jews don’t advocate for me”

• Feigned Ignorance - See how few notes there are on posts depicting anti-semitism? Jewish bloggers frequently complain about no one reblogging them. Because they don’t get reblogged except by other Jews.
• Being a Bad Ally - The exception to the feigned ignorance is, of course, the frequent pile-ons whenever a CELEBRITY is revealed to be anti-semitic. Otherwise, we mostly get ignored. Don’t think we don’t notice. Gary Oldman being an asshole doesn’t compare to 17,000 people holding an anti-semitic march through the streets of Paris. That never seems to go viral, despite all the video.

• re: Erasure - besides that eye-roll inducing Christian bullshit, it also encompasses the denial of aspects of our people, be it our inherent diversity, or our complex self-identity, or our own history. Removing us from our own histories, and our many positive contributions to the history of the world, is common.
• Denial - like it says on the tin, the outright denial and/or minimizing of the fact that antisemitism exits, that it can and does get violent, and that it’s on the rise. Denying or downplaying specific antisemitic events counts too
