ps before this starts to get a lot of notes i would like to make it clear that this ableism post is not intended to educate people about ableism but rather to express anger at the invalidation of the personal experiences of the disabled. this is why it is deliberately autism centric — i drew from my own experiences and from things that affect me personally, not out of any neglect or exclusion of other disabled individuals, but just because i’m really fucking pissed off. it’s selfish and rude but i needed to say it this is not social justice this is just rage

It’s difficult to process this so I’ll reply to what I can:
- When did I make or reblog a post about people who don’t bring up that people are Autistic are ableist?? When??
- I’m blogging about my own experiences as an Autistic person, my own life. I’m entitled to do that, especially when it’s really stressful to deal with sensory issues and trouble with people on a daily basis.
- People die because of ableism. Murder by caretakers, torture, severe bullying - it happens. So I’m not going to pretend that ableism doesn’t exist and stop blogging about it.
- “Hating someone for getting hated? what the fuck. Isn’t that called irony.” This sentence doesn’t make sense to me but if you’re saying what I think you are: look up oppression dynamics. You’re not bullied, excluded, or in danger for being allistic.
If you actually get hate for “hating disabled” people, news flash: it’s probably warranted. You’re probably ableist.
By telling disabled people to stop talking about their experiences or to not get angry at ableist people, you are erasing us.
I’ve had multiple people tell me to stop talking about being Autistic, as it makes people uncomfortable. Well guess what? If you’re uncomfortable with my existence, that is ableism. So don’t try to make a case for ableism not being a big deal if you’re as ableist as this.
The militant queer/trans/gay vegan crew on tumblr really amuses me. If the people you hate so much (everyone else basically) were as violent and threatening to you, as you are to them, your tears and cries of injustice would never end.
Good thing you’d never say or do any of those things in the real world, or you’d all be extinguished.

They are WORSE, actually. 99.9% of posts against non-marginalized groups are slightly facetious or a vent. Have you seen people being killed or seriously told to kill themselves over being cis? Heterosexual? Heteromantic? No. It doesn’t happen, and it’s actually erasure of big issues of race, class, and disability to claim so.
People in marginalized groups are killed for that. Told to kill themselves. Raped. In smaller cases, but still gross, they are bullied and their existences are ignored. So yeah, they ARE that violent and threatening.

I feel the word choice here says an awful lot. Extinguished, like the Nazis did to countless groups of people. Extinguished, like many people with various disabilities are.
Seriously, this is gross. I can’t believe people think like this.
